Sailing Transatlantic on a Catamaran

Join us aboard the Bluewater 50 catamaran, “Zao”, for an offshore passage throughout the Atlantic! We and a crew of sailing writers and videographers go aboard this luxurious catamaran in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands and start a 3,000-mile transatlantic crossing to the Caribbean. In this episode, we prepare the boat in Las Palmas, then established sail on a magical voyage throughout the Atlantic Ocean. It is our 8th crossing but the first one particular that we’ve ever finished on a multi-hull. Adhere to this collection to see what crossing an ocean is like aboard a catamaran.

  10. Lot's of Q's. Should I save all these for a live chat? 1) How did you nick the bow and how was it repaired? 2) Boat walkthrough planned for future video? 3) Will Discovery being showing a BW 50 at the Miami show in February or the Annapolis show in October? 4) Besides the windlass, chain locker, anchor(s), what's in the big nose of the nacelle? 5) Is Dan available as a chef for hire on crewed charters?

  12. Hey guys
Been a while. Looks like you did okay on your crossing, at least in this episode.
The galley was turning out some good looking food too.
    Good luck,
