How did this Boat Crash? (And other factors we realized in American Samoa) (Ep forty)

Of course this video is limited, in all probability the shortest a single we’ve carried out. BUT Don’t Anxiety! The up coming six episodes are all Lengthy! Try to remember, uploading out in the Pacific is not usually effortless, so prolonged episodes take for a longer time to upload. Keep WITH US! It receives much better!!
We manufactured it to American Samoa, and obtained the Dometic deep-freezer from the now-sunken catamaran Tanda Malaika. (To find out additional about their tragic sailing incident, rescue, and particular journey, go to: www.adventuresofatribe.com.) We also discovered some terrific concealed treasures: a magnificent waterfall, great bulk provisioning, and lots of rapid food items!!
Satisfied Sailing!

  2. Another outstanding video, thank you for your hard work in producing these and sharing your adventure. There at the end when saying good bye to friends, watching Kate, made my eyes start sweating. Very sweet!

  4. up to episode 39 now,..my dream and goal someday soon is to to do this same type of ocean voyage – where is Zatara and family now? And random question – what other "Blue Water" sailboats did you look at before purchasing your Beneteau?

  6. So many entitled people here…they don't have to make these videos. They don't have to do any of this. It's like they are making loads of money off of this. If you were sailing the world would you want to be bitched at about making some youtube videos by a bunch of strangers?

  9. 3:59 just an FYi that all these processed products in the dinghy (Barqs soda, ramen, cherrios, hormel chili etc) is not actually "food". Real food is fresh vegetables, fruits meats, etc. That stuff you got is just garbage.

  11. So sorry for the family of Malika! You had a fun crossing with them didn’t you? I guess you have to be pragmatic and thankful all were unscathed. Fair winds!

  13. Vey favorite sailing channel ! No begging, alcohol, nudity, just a wonderful family sailing. If u could throw the computer games and replace with musical instruments the kids would really be different.

  16. “What happened to Tanda Malaika “ is the title of this video yet you barely touched on this tragedy?!? Seems the title is an attempt to gain more views. You spent more time discussing the coveted freezer. Your food choices are also an environmental concern in these far flung places. Conflicted viewer.

  25. Renee – @TheFyffejill had a noteworthy observation – in the end, Tanda Malaika was not hauled off to be sunk. It was hauled up on the shore to serve as a house. Check this out for pictures (scroll to the bottom):http://freedomandadventure.blogspot.com/2017/09/hi-from-clare-sunshine-and-music-as.html
I really hope the Tribe did not pay for the boat to be hauled off and sunk when in the end it was just pulled up on the beach, as that would be fraud in almost any country. The Tribe should be refunded any amount the final actual resting place cost less.

  27. Good video. As far as Tanda Malika goes their blog is one of the saddest and maybe one of the most inspirational things I have read this year. What a story of how the sailing community came together to help them and what a story of overcoming adversity. Here is hoping that y'all meet up again. Enjoy the freezer.
