Fitting new floors! [Yacht Refit & Restoration Week 7] (Ep.12)

I bought Ricky a nifty new tool belt so that I didn’t have to chase after him with tools anymore. We make repairs to the underside of our deck using nida-core and some epoxy. We put in our new bulk heads in our port and starboard aft cabins. We epoxy our bathroom to make sure she’s waterproof so we can install our new shower and basin.

Ricky shows you guys how he prepares his calamari, since he did buy 7kg of it! We start making our floors for our foreward cabins and show you guys how we did it! Aswell as our seating area floor. We show you some of our filleting work on our joint trims, aswell as go pick up our first aid certificates which we both passed! (Guess I can save Ricky’s life now) 😉

Ricky also decided he thought we should start speaking Portuguese on our channel. (Not happening :P)

If you want to become a patreon, he is a step for step video on how you can become one, following the link below.

Thanks for watching and the support!

Lots of love

  5. Nina; you have a very sweet voice. Don't hide it. However, no matter how annoying use the hearing and dust protection at all times. That Aerosil gets way down in your lungs and the sound damage is cumulative and insidious.

  7. Ricky, buy a countersink that fits the size of the screws that you are using. There are adjustable ones for length and shank size of the screw. A single pilot drill, like you are using is incorrect and can result in the wood splitting when you drive the screw in. You can buy them on amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/Pit-Bull-CHIBP7608-Countersink-Drill/dp/B0002T74VC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1518287048&sr=8-5&keywords=countersink+drill+bit+set

  16. great work. don't know a lot about cats but curious about your planning for bilge pumps and was wondering why you are not painting or sealing the bilge before laying the floors in?  CHEERS!

  18. I find myself feeling itchy every time I watch one of your vlogs……the sanding of fiberglass is the worst, especially in confined areas!
