  5. I would have come about….pulled in the JRAP about four clicks…..feathered the bow chaser just enough to tamp the bollycock ……then….rigged a solo rudder chum and called it a night

  10. If it were me I'd roll the head sail up enough to what we call a napkin so it won't rip but still catch the wind and start the motor. What it looks like to me is the motor isn't running. I've been in stuff like this before and its no fun!

  12. Clearly this nice ketch is not handed. The skipper is probably holding the camera. Furthermore, the short waves suggests shallow waters.

    Maybe he broke his rudder….?

    Unless the rudder is broken, the skipper should be onboard, running away with more sails, especially the gib.
