Roman Abramovich's Mega Yacht LE GRAND BLEU leaves Guernsey Harbour
Le Grand Bleu came to Guernsey on the 9th October 2009. It is just one of the biggest personal yachts in the world and was released in 2000.
It is powered by two 3,600 hp Wartsila engines and was formerly owned by John McCaw Jr an American businessman. It is 374ft prolonged, it has a 74ft sailing yacht and a 67ft motor yacht on the principal deck. It has four twenty tonne cranes to carry the sailing yacht and motor yacht in and out of the drinking water.
It had been in Yarmouth, Isle of Wight for a couple of weeks ahead of coming to Guernsey. In Guernsey it had a top rated up of it can be gas tanks a hundred,000 litres of diesel which cost £80,000. Immediately after Guernsey it was off to the Azores.
It did belong to Roman Abramovich but he gifted it to his accountant and good friend Eugene Shvidler and due to the fact it was so significant it had be moored the place the ferries moor. It is pretty much the very same sizing as the Commodore Clipper ferry.
