Rangiroa is regarded as one particular of the leading places in the earth to SCUBA dive. Hammerhead sharks, dolphins, Napoleon Wrasse, reef sharks, eagle rays and manta’s. This very little pass is loaded with daily life.

For sailors Tiputa pass is regarded as the most risky in all of the Tuamotu Archipelago. With the mistaken wind way, a max flood tide or any bad weather and this pass can be impassable. But do your research, system your timing with the tide and the weather…and you should be okay.

Soon after a week of boat chores and diving we’re sailing out at what we think is excellent time, but oh guy were being we in for a ride!

  1. I felt like it was lions tigers and bears but with the ocean sharks, dolphins, and waves! Beautiful beautiful footage made me really wanderlust for it all

  2. Rocking your way through the pass climbing the bow with no life jacket? A man overboard drill in that mess would be no fun at all.

  6. Hammer heads? You want to see Hammerheads, you need to do a TAKA dive in the Coral Seas. You will get more than you bargain for. You'll need to go to Australia for a TAKA dive.

That is truly some cracking editing. Y'all, and Blue and the dudes at SV Delos, and the blokes at Ruby Rose, have given me great pleasure, especially in watching all of you become master cinematographers, editors, and story tellers. I owe you more than I ever can pay.

Thank you, and cheers, wherever you are now, 'cross that big blue Pacific.

  29. Captain Nikki and the school kid!

I appreciate that Nikki is driving the boat through an interesting bit of water and Jason is running around the boat yelping and trying to have her look at this and that the whole time the pass is trying to shake every locker like a Polaroid picture. Spectacular dynamics!

    Fine video!

  32. If you are interested about the rescue of an experienced sailor getting tossed off a sailboat between Nantucket and Cape Cod.. No life jacket, in the water for 1.5 hours. Survived by 100% shit luck. Must have been 200 boats looking for her. Nothing until my brother-in-law got a signal from some higher power to power down his motorboat and look around. All he saw was her head. As I said Shit Lick”. What would Nicki do if you got tossed? WEAR THE FARGIN LIFE JACKET IN THOSE SEAS!!!!!!!!!

  39. I know a spot near Perl Island in the Chugach Passage, Alaska that I have personally seen 7 knots of current on a big tide. It's a really bizarre piece of water. Throw in some roll from the proper direction and you will suddenly feel really small.

  44. Awesome video's you two. You should consider providing the name of the place in panama that ripped you off on the chain. Eventually if enough cruisers take note of it, and let other cruisers know, their business will hopefully diminish as it should. Maybe post on here, or on your website, which suppliers, products or places to avoid is just as helpful as which ones are good. I know personally as someone that plans to visit Panama in the near future, I would like to know what suppliers to avoid. No consequences, no motivation for change in behavior.
