  1. That hull design is idiotic. With all that excess buoyancy in the bow overhang, that bow would pound itself to pieces in a large seaway, causing lots of unnecessary acceleration on the hull and crew.

    The butt lines are far too steep for a boat of the displacement suggested by the bow, meaning the hull shape is quite inefficient.

    Fortunately the sort of weather that would cause such problems is pretty rare, but there is no excuse for designing a vessel that is not safe for essentially all weather conditions it can reasonable be expected to encounter in its life.
