Sailing Home Our New Liveaboard Boat – Ep. 177 RAN Sailing

Now we have a property again! Many thanks to some great followers we got to borrow a boat to are living on in this article in Sweden. Johan sails it from Varberg to our property port in Malmö.

We are a Swedish couple who wished a diverse kind of everyday living. So we moved aboard our sailboat Ran, a customized built Beason forty in aluminium and untied the traces in the center of the Swedish winter season in January 2016. There is no established route and we will go the place the wind and our minds choose us.

  14. I really enjoyed this video. As a committed arm chair sailor, I watch several channels with bloggers visiting many parts of the World. As a result, I am now very familar with many parts of the well travelled Caribbean, and Mediterrean.

Your combination of visiting the much less "well known" coast of Sweden, and local knowledge showing us the local heritage along the Swedish coast makes for compelling viewing.

For purely selfish reasons, I do hope that once your daughter reaches the point that she too, can sail that you would start out on your voyages as a family, during the first summer visiting other locations around the Baltic in places like Poland or Latvia.

All the very best for the next few months.

  24. I need to get to Sweden sometime as I have relatives I would like to meet in Boden. It would be good to get more information on that part of the family and also bring that back to the people in America that are cataloging this information for posterity.

She would be strong, solid and comfortable in rough seas and be safer than a fiberglass hull if she collided with a floating debris.
